School Counseling and Wellbeing Support Centre

At Kathmandu University School of Education, we’re dedicated to enhancing student success through innovative counseling initiatives. Our Comprehensive Counseling Supports program is an extension of our commitment to student wellbeing. This initiative builds on the success of our Master’s programs and aims to boost not only academic performance but also students' decision-making and social skills.Parents also benefit through greater engagement in their child's education, and school administrators see improved school environments, leading to higher achievement and dropout prevention. Moreover, the program strengthens ties between schools and the broader community, fostering well-prepared, capable individuals for the workforce. At the heart of this initiative is our Counseling Lab, offering tailored support through cognitive-behavioral therapy, strength-based counseling, and mindfulness practices. Our goal is to raise mental health awareness and provide comprehensive support for students and the community, ensuring personal growth and resilience.

Our Philosophy

Our Comprehensive Counseling Support Program is built on three key pillars:1. Comprehensive in Scope

We address the needs of all students to ensure both academic and personal growth. Our support system is designed to help students become active, contributing members of society.

2. Preventive in Design

Proactively addressing issues before they arise is crucial. Our program integrates prevention strategies through a school counseling curriculum, helping students build strong foundations for success.

3. Developmental in Nature

Tailored to meet each student's developmental needs, our program evolves as students grow, ensuring they receive the right support at every stage of their educational journey.
