  • 17 years of formal education
  • A minimum of 60% score in aggregate or CGPA 3 out of 4 in the last degree in related fields.
  • Applicants are required to submit their research proposal along with the application.

Master in Higher Education 

A Master's degree or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized University with a second division or 2.5 CGPA on a 4-point scale.

 

  • Final Date for Online Form Submission: December 20, 2024
  • Written Test (Online): December 26, 2024 (Time: 12:30 PM)
  • Interview (Online): December 27, 2024 (Time: 12:00 PM Onwards)
  • Admission Due Date: January 15, 2025
  • Orientation by February 6, 2025 (Time 5: 30 PM)
  • Sessions start on February 7, 2025

NOTE

  • MPhil programs run in blended mode with face-to-face and online arrangements. Online classes take place from 5.30 to 8.30 PM NPT. Face-to-face classes shall be run during the daytime.
  • As PhD applicants need to go through a specific process, they are required to contact the relevant departments before submitting their applications.
  • Applicants waiting for the results of their last degree can also apply. In case someone cannot complete their last degree within one month of the beginning of the classes, they need to withdraw, and fees paid will be partially reimbursed as per KU rules.

Entrance Guidelines: 

There will be two subjective questions for both MPhil and PhD candidates in each department. The first question will be common to all applicants. The second question will be discipline specific. The candidates should answer both questions in about 500 words each. The session for the written test for both MPhil and PhD will start at 12:30 PM on 26 December 2024. The candidates should submit their responses by 8.00 pm on the same day to the email address we specified.
