We provide various amenities to our students and faculty researchers inside and outside the School of Education. Our major services are:

1.     Language Editing

We provide comprehensive language editing assistance to students and faculty researchers across all departments of the School of Education. Our services encompass editing support for dissertations, theses, and academic papers, utilizing a team of skilled editors from both domestic and international backgrounds. This ensures that the language of their scholarly works is refined to the highest standard, enhancing clarity, coherence, and professionalism. Our editing services are tailored to meet the specific needs of each researcher, fostering excellence in academic communication.

2.    TESOL Specialization

  1. TESOL Certificate

A TESOL certificate is typically a prerequisite for many educational institutions when recruiting as English as a (ESL) instructors.

Through this 150 hours qualification course, the students will learn the foundational skills needed to become an English teacher. This includes an essential understanding of how the English language is structured, along with a range of classroom management skills and language teaching techniques.

By the end of the course, students will earn a TESOL qualification and gain a set of skills that can be used to teach English overseas and online.

Eligibility:

This course is open to any individual fluent in English having an interest in becoming an English teacher.

All ages and nationalities are welcome to enroll, however additional qualifications will help with securing work after the course.

  1. TESOL Diploma

A diploma course in TESOl (TESOL Diploma) is specifically designed for practicing teachers who are looking to build on their existing skills and knowledge. This 250 hours course is completed in a blended (online and physical) mode and results in a qualification that allows you to apply for a wider range of jobs within the ELT profession.

This  course is primarily a research based course that requires a considerable amount of self study using a variety of resources. It can be completed either with or without the assistance of a highly experienced tutor at whatever pace suits your personal circumstances. If you are already teaching and want to take your knowledge and qualifications to the next level, look no further than our internationally recognized Diploma in TESOL.

  1. TESOL TOT

A TESOL Training for Trainers (TOT) is a 3 credit hours course for individuals wishing to become facilitators for a TESOL course. The participants will be involved in intensive 32 hours of theoretical classes and 16 hours of practical sessions to become instructors or trainers of TESOL Certificate or Diploma Courses.

Eligibility:

The individuals must be specialized in English Language Teaching (ELT) or English Literature/ Linguistics for the enrollment in the program. Moreover, they must have good command in English communication along with knowledge and skills  in innovative pedagogy.

3.   Short Courses

1.     Grant Proposal Writing

Course Description

This highly interactive 3 credit hours course will engage the learners in the proposal writing field to procure granting funds. It will cover the common parts of a grant application and give you an easy-to-follow framework for what should be included in them. We explore how to interpret calls for funding, known as requests for proposals (RFPs), followed by a step-by-step examination of the elements of a grant proposal, from writing the abstract to the evaluation plan.

  •  Real-time grant writing (and possible submission)

Prerequisites

  • Research and writing mindset; enthusiasm for developing grant writing skills

Course Format

  • Online and on-site

  •  Two class meetings per week: 120 minutes

  •  One physical workshop [whole day] at KUSOED

  •  Offline self-paced study and learning activities

2.    Advance Editing

Course Description

This highly engaging 3 credit hours course aims the participants internalize the ways of achieving clarity, conciseness, coherence, consistency, appropriacy, plausible organization, and special effects of language editing through hands-on in-class practices.

  • The skills of English language editing of any scholarly articles or research papers

  • The concepts of journal article editing

  • Assistance to become a better writer

  • Practical tips and tricks

  • Must have experience of writing research/journal articles

3.   Academic Writing (Research Article)

Course Description

This course (workshop) aims to enable participants to write and get research published in credible journals. The course covers the following standard sections of a research article: Introduction, Literature Review, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion. It breaks down the process of writing a paper into key steps and prepares researchers for writing research papers through rigorous engagement in writing, editing, and communication with publishers.

Learning Outcomes:

Enhancing abilities to conceptualize, design, and draft various research articles.

4.   Art of Writing: Paragraphs and Essays 

Course Description:

This course is designed to develop knowledge and skills of content and rhetoric of writing essays. It aims to develop teachers' skills, especially English teachers, to apply in classroom teaching. The course develops skills in teachers through practical exercises. This 48 hours’ course consists of 24 hours of writing exercises and 24 hours of discussion. In addition to developing writing skills, it gives knowledge of Mind Mapping and Multiple Intelligence in content development while writing. 

Learning Outcomes:

By the completion of this course, the participants will:

  • Generate ideas and content for free writing.
  • Draft, review, and revise paragraphs and different types of essays.
  • Use different rhetorical strategies in their essays.
  • Produce their original essay.

  • Translation
  • We offer translation facilities to the students and faculty researchers as per the need for their documents.
  • APA Formatting
  • We offer APA Formatting of the dissertation/thesis or paper of students as well as faculty researchers. Furthermore, we conduct training and workshops on APA as per the needs of the concerned individuals.
  • On-demand Workshops and Training
  • We organize and conduct various workshops and seminars based on the demand of the participants. The workshops will be thematized on writing and communication.
