About the Project
The 'Higher Education in Vocational Education in Nepal' (HEVEN) project is a 36-month initiative supported by ERASMUS+ Higher Education Capacity Building grants. The project aims to transform the TVET landscape in Nepal by enhancing the capacity of TVET stakeholders, particularly higher education institutions. It focuses on providing quality leadership and management in TVET, training TVET educators, and improving technical infrastructure and international collaboration.
Led by Tribhuvan University (TU), the project includes European partners, (i.e., JAMK and Saxion), and Nepali partners (KU and NOU). The project is organized into seven jointly-led work packages (WPs), ensuring comprehensive progress in various aspects of TVET enhancement.
By building capacity in HEIs, expanding skills supply, and increasing participation in education, training, and the labour market, the NSIS project directly supports the development of knowledge economies in India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal.
