Kathmandu University & University of Agder, Norway successfully hosted the 19th International IFIP WG 9.4 Conference at Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel Nepal. The conference hosted 100 plus participants from over 25 countries during the three day conference. The conference hosted twenty specialized tracks covering diverse aspects of ICT4D and digital transformation where 75 papers were presented from researchers representing different Universities. Associate Professor Virginia Eubanks, Associate Professor of Political Science at the University at Albany, SUNY and Professor Chaitanya Mishra, Professor of Sociology, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal delivered the keynote address at the conference.
Prof. Dr. Manish Pokharel, School of Engineering, Kathmandu University, Nepal and Professor Antonio Diaz Andrade University of Agder, Norway co-chaired the conference.
Professor Devinder Thapa, University of Agder, Norway and Dr. Priyanka Pandey, Lecturer King's College, London contributed as the program co-chairs.
Professor Bal Krishna Bal contribute as the local organizing committee chair which comprised of the following members: Dr. Pankaj Raj Dawadi, Mr. Amrit Dahal, Mr. Sanjog Sigdel and Mr. Dipesh Khadka
This conference also hosted a one day Doctoral Consortium which was hosted by Madan Bhandari University of Science and Technology (MBUST). Doctoral Consortium was conducted on May 24, 2026 and coordinated by Dr. Rajib Pandey Subba with three co-chairs, Angsana Techatasanasontorn, Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand, Hameed Chughtai, Lancaster University, UK, Prof. Suresh Manandhar, Madan Bhandari University of Science and Technology.
