IoT Research Development Lab and Kyra Works Pvt. Ltd. Signed Memorandum of Understanding for Research Collaboration and Internship Opportunities

November 11, 2025, IoT Research Development Lab (IoT R&D Lab), Kathmandu University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Kyra Works Pvt. Ltd. to foster research collaboration in Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things. Kyra Works Pvt. Ltd. is a leading IoT and AI based research and product development company based in Lazimpat Road, Kathmandu. This MoU establishes a collaborative relationship between Kyra Works and IoT R&D Lab with the following primary objectives:

  • To incubate research and development opportunities in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things (IoT) with close collaboration.
  • To provide research internship opportunities to the University students.
  • To share expertise of both parties in identifying research problems, product prototyping and development.
  • To conduct events of various formats in raising awareness about IoT and AI Literacy, Applications, Security and Ethics.

This MoU enables IoT R&D Lab as a collaborative where real world problems provided by the industry shall be the research assignment of students. Students will be solving the problems related to IoT, IoT security, Artificial Intelligence with the mentorship from industry experts.

IoT R&D Lab will soon announce a call for research interns to solve industry problems provided by Kyra Works and develop prototype/solutions. Research interns will also be rewarded for their contribution at the IoT R&D Lab.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Prof. Dr. Sudan Jha, Principal Investigator, IoT R&D Lab, Mr. Sanjog Sigdel (Witness), Lecturer, DoCSE, Kathmandu University and Mr. Raj Humagain, CEO, Kyra Works Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Rupesh Acharya (Witness), Manager, Kyra Works Pvt. Ltd..
