The School of Arts (SOA) is pleased to announce a landmark achievement with the signing of an agreement with the University Grant Commission (UGC-Nepal) on August 20, 2025. The agreement is a big step forward for SOA's academic quality, research, and institutional development as it opens the door for the implementation of four important projects valued at NPR 5,80,75,365.19.The official exchange of documents was held between Professor Dr. Rajeev Shrestha, Registrar, Kathmandu University and Mr. Kedar Acharya, Director and Member Secretary, UGC-Nepal. Their commitment reflects the exchange of shared ideas to strengthen higher education in Nepal through effective research -based initiative.Supported by UGC-Nepal, these projects will increase the SOA's ability to promote innovation, increase research opportunities and meaningfully engage with communities. Projects are expected to benefit faculty members, researchers and students, while contributing to long-term social development.SOA expresses heartfelt gratitude to the University Grants Commission for their valuable support and recognition, and to all the stakeholders whose efforts helped in achieving this milestone.This collaboration paves a way for new beginnings in SOAs journey towards excellence in arts, humanities and social sciences.
